| In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. | In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me. |
| O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee. | I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” |
| My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. | When I sing to you, my lips will rejoice, and so will my soul, which you have redeemed. |
| For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. | Although the mountains may be shaken and the hills may totter, my steadfast love will not depart from you, and my covenant of peace will never be shaken, says the Lord who has compassion on you. |
| With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. | My soul longs for you throughout the night, and my spirit within me seeks your presence. | Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. | And so does kindness, O Lord. You reward each person in accordance with his deeds. |
| Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. | Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it. |
| I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. | I will praise you in sincerity of heart as I ponder your righteous judgments. |
| For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. | O Lord, you are kind and forgiving, filled with kindness for all who cry to you. |

This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. | No weapon used against you will prevail, and you will refute every accusation that is raised in court against you. | Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. | Honor your father and your mother so that your days may be lengthened in the land that the Lord your God, will give you. |
| And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day. | Remember that you were once a slave in the land of Egypt. The Lord, your God, brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore, the Lord, your God, has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day. |
| My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. | O Lord, at daybreak you hear my voice; at daybreak I bring my petition before you and await your reply. |
| Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. | Can a woman forget the infant at her breast; or feel no compassion for the child of her womb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you. Behold, I have inscribed your name on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before my eyes. |
| Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee. | Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son. |
| He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. | With his feathers he will shelter you, and you will take refuge under his wings; his faithfulness serves as a protective shield. |
| And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. | If you heed the voice of the Lord, your God, and you carefully observe all of the commandments that I have given you today, then the Lord, your God, will lift you up above all the other nations upon the earth. |
| But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord. | But I with hymns of praise will offer sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will fulfill. Salvation comes from the Lord. |
