- For he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things. - On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
- Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
- But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.
- I lift my hands to you in prayer.
I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. - They will never again be hungry or thirsty;
they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun.
For the Lamb on the throne
will be their Shepherd.
He will lead them to springs of life-giving water.
And God will wipe every tear from their eyes. - O God, you are my God;
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water.
Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.Next verse!With image
