- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- But as for you, man of God, you must shun all this. Rather, pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, fortitude, and gentleness.
- This is how we know what love is:
he laid down his life for us,
and we in turn must be prepared
to lay down our lives for our brethren. - We know that God makes all things work together for good for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose.
- Finally, all of you should be united in spirit, sympathetic, filled with love for one another, compassionate, and humble.
- And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God.
- Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not treat them harshly.
- You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
- I have made your name known to them,
and I will make it known,
so that the love with which you loved me
may be in them, and I in them. - Since in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor lack of circumcision is worth anything. All that matters is faith expressing itself through love.
- He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
- If anyone is rich in worldly possessions
and sees a brother in need
but refuses to open his heart,
how can the love of God abide in him? - Who then can separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or the sword?
- Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he protects the souls of his faithful ones
and rescues them from the hand of the wicked. - Such hope will not be doomed to disappointment, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
- The tongue has the power over life and death;
those who cherish it will enjoy its fruits. - God’s love was revealed to us in this way:
God sent his only-begotten Son into the world
so that we might have life through him. - If I give away everything to feed the poor
and hand over my body to be burned,
but do not have love,
I achieve nothing. - If in speaking I use human tongues
and angelic as well,
but do not have love,
I am nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. - But to those of you who are listening to me, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
- For as it is written,
“Eye has not seen, ear has not heard,
nor has the human heart imagined
what God has prepared for those who love him.” - Hear, O Israel, the Lord, our God, is Lord alone. You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
- Brethren, you were called to freedom. However, make sure that you do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Instead, serve one another in love.
- I love the Lord because he has heard my voice
and listened to my cry for mercy,
because he has inclined his ear to me
on the day when I called out to him. - Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart.
See what love
the Father has bestowed on us,
enabling us to be called the children of God,
and that is what we are.
If the world does not recognize us,
that is because it did not know him. Each person should give as much as he has decided in his heart, not with reluctance or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.Next verse! With image
