But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ.
When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he grows older he will not abandon it.

But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.But You, Lord, are a shield around me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.
