Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
The vine has dried up, And the fig tree has withered; The pomegranate tree, The palm tree also, And the apple tree— All the trees of the field are withered; Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men.The vine is dried up and the fig tree is withered; the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree— all the trees of the field—are dried up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts.

He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless.
But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
