Bible Verses about 'Up'
- Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all offenses. - Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
do not forget the oppressed. - He heals the brokenhearted,

The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
- He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
- While he was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
- So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
- And whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - Nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known.
- It is you who light my lamp;
the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. - Anxiety weighs down the human heart,
but a good word cheers it up. - And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
- O how abundant is your goodness
that you have laid up for those who fear you,
and accomplished for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of everyone! - And live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done.
- The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”
- But those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.
- Blessed be the Lord,
who daily bears us up;
God is our salvation. Selah - Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
- But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, in order to make her holy by cleansing her with the washing of water by the word.
- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low, he also exalts. - Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray. - “All things are lawful,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
- The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. - For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
