Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving. | Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving. |

Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. | Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. |

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. | Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. |
Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord; Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. | You, Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your mercy and Your truth will continually watch over me. |
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. | So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. |
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. | Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. |
And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” | But He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.” |
When goods increase, They increase who eat them; So what profit have the owners Except to see them with their eyes? | When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them? |
