If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows.Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.

Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit.
