| And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. | And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment. |

| Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. | Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. |
| But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. | And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. |
| And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. | The Lord also restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord increased double all that Job had. |
| Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. | Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. |
| And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. | Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming. |
| And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. | And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died. |
| For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. | For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. |

| Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. | Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. |
| For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. | For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up! |
