- Thus says the Lord:
Stand at the crossroads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way lies; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.
But they said, “We will not walk in it.” - He answered, “Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

- But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Therefore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink or of observing festivals, new moons, or sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
- So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
- Yet, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand. - When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but the prudent are restrained in speech. - Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields, for my sake and for the sake of the good news, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this age—houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.”

but with many advisers they succeed. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. - If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.
