Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. | Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. |

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! | O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. |
He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend. | He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. |
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. | Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. |
Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. | Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. |

He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. | He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. |
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. | But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. |
The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. | The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. |
He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. | Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord. |
And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” | Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. |
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. | Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy. |
