Why do bad things happen (2/4)

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being.
For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world.
And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”Jesus said to him, “If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes.”
The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers.

Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?” But He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?” And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”One sabbath he was going through the grainfields; and as they made their way his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath?” And he said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need of food? He entered the house of God, when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and he gave some to his companions.” Then he said to them, “The sabbath was made for humankind, and not humankind for the sabbath; so the Son of Man is lord even of the sabbath.”
He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this.
Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.Only fear the Lord, and serve him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.”Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.”
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.
For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.For he satisfies the thirsty, and the hungry he fills with good things.
O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one.
Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.
Sing to the Lord, For He has done excellent things; This is known in all the earth.Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be known in all the earth.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
