- A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger. - Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
- A fool's wrath is presently known:
but a prudent man covereth shame. - Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
- Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
- And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. - Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
- Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord;
and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you:
for I am merciful, saith the Lord,
and I will not keep anger for ever. - Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth,
which have wrought his judgment;
seek righteousness, seek meekness:
it may be ye shall be hid
in the day of the Lord's anger.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in truth.Next verse!With image
