Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.You must keep my Sabbath days of rest and show reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.
I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.
O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee.I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.”
Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.
He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.And the Lord God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife.
Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.
I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God.‘I am the Lord your God,’ I told them. ‘Follow my decrees, pay attention to my regulations, and keep my Sabbath days holy, for they are a sign to remind you that I am the Lord your God.’
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord.Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet.
And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.
I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.
For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love.
