As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? Romans 6:3	Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Jesus baptism

But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9	For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith. This has not come from you but from the gift of God. Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:36	You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised. patience obedience receiving
But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Matthew 3:8	Produce good fruit as proof of your repentance. conversion repentance life
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15	For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading to fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, “Abba! But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 1 Timothy 6:9	However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. money greed materialism
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9	Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with a joy that is indescribable and glorious. I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16	He who called you is holy. Therefore, be holy yourselves in all your conduct. For Scripture says, “Be holy, for I am holy.” holiness life calling
But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me. Psalm 13:5-6	As for me, I trust in your kindness; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because he has been good to me. trust worship heart
After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. 1 Timothy 6:7-8	For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, let us be content with these. food materialism contentment
Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12	As long as the goodwill is present, the gift will be acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. encouragement giving generosity
