- I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die,
and of the son of man who will be made as grass? - These you may eat of all that are in the waters: you may eat whatever has fins and scales. You shall not eat whatever doesn’t have fins and scales. It is unclean to you.
- For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
- Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

and have now made known to me what we desired of you;
for you have made known to us the king’s matter. - Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,
before the sons of men! - I spread out my hands to you.
My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah. - “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.”
