- I will hurry, and not delay,
to obey your commandments. - Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions,
and, as a cloud, your sins.
Return to me, for I have redeemed you. - Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness,
for they are from old times.
Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions.
Remember me according to your loving kindness,
for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh. - For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword,
neither did their own arm save them;
but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face,
because you were favorable to them. - Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
- For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor; if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forever more.
- Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path. - Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me.
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever.
Don’t forsake the works of your own hands. - Therefore remove sorrow from your heart,
and put away evil from your flesh;
for youth and the dawn of life are vanity. - Jesus said to her, “Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- You shall seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.
- You will show me the path of life.
In your presence is fullness of joy.
In your right hand there are pleasures forever more. - Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.
- Behold, today I am going the way of all the earth. You know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which Yahweh your God spoke concerning you. All have happened to you. Not one thing has failed of it.
- For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- I will walk in liberty,
for I have sought your precepts. - So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul.
If you have found it, then there will be a reward:
Your hope will not be cut off. - Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.
- You are my hiding place and my shield.
I hope in your word. - I am Yahweh your God. Walk in my statutes, keep my ordinances, and do them. Make my Sabbaths holy. They shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your God.
- Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean.
Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes.
Cease to do evil. - Turn my heart toward your statutes,
not toward selfish gain. - Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
Your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
