Blood of Jesus (3/4)

  • Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
  • Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
  • Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.
  • He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
  • Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”
  • Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
  • So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
  • And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
  • But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.
  • But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
  • They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”
  • Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
  • For,
There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.
  • But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”
  • Asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.
  • You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.
  • He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!”
    Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
  • But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”
  • Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”
  • Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?
  • Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
  • For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.
  • Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.

When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
