  • For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity,
    whose name is Holy, says:
“I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.”

the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree,

for joy has withered away from the sons of men.
  • A cheerful heart makes good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Where does my help come from?
    My help comes from Yahweh,
    who made heaven and earth.
  • He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
  • God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.
  • Yahweh bless you, and keep you.
Yahweh make his face to shine on you,
    and be gracious to you.
Yahweh lift up his face toward you,
    and give you peace.

  • But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
  • Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind.
Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down.
    Yahweh loves the righteous.
  • But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength.
They will mount up with wings like eagles.

They will walk, and not faint.
  • He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
  • For you will light my lamp, Yahweh.
My God will light up my darkness.
  • But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.

and when he is old he will not depart from it.
  • Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,
    before the sons of men!
  • Because your loving kindness is better than life,
    my lips shall praise you.
So I will bless you while I live.
I will lift up my hands in your name.

But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.

So is my word that goes out of my mouth:
it will not return to me void,
but it will accomplish that which I please,
