Bible Verses about 'Burdens be lifted up'
- Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
- And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
- But when they had grazed, they became full,
they were filled, and their heart was lifted up;
therefore they forgot me. - And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’

to revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.” - Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
- Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all offenses. - Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
- Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him,
but the righteous shall live by his faith. - I cried to him with my mouth,
and high praise was on my tongue. - Is not this the fast that I choose:
to loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the straps of the yoke,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to break every yoke? - Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
forget not the afflicted. - He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds. - Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. - For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
- The vine dries up;
the fig tree languishes.
Pomegranate, palm, and apple,
all the trees of the field are dried up,
and gladness dries up
from the children of man. - A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
- And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
- When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
- A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.
- But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
- So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
- The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. - God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.
- Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
- But they who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint. - Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.
- And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
- And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
- I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
- And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
- If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
- The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
- Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
- It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave.
- Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.
