- But he knows the way that I take.
When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps.

It won’t cease from yielding fruit. - By faith even Sarah herself received power to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised.
- In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety, not with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing, but with good works, which is appropriate for women professing godliness.
- The vine has dried up, and the fig tree withered—
the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree,

for joy has withered away from the sons of men. - “They shall be mine,” says Yahweh of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make. I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.”
- Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,
before the sons of men! - For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
- So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
- This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing, who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.”
