- If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
- Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
- There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
- And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
- The integrity of the upright shall guide them:
but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. - He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
- And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
- An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour:
but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. - Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
- Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
- Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.
- He that walketh with wise men shall be wise:
but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. - A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.
- For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
- For the Lord loveth judgment,
and forsaketh not his saints;
they are preserved for ever:
but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. - The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious;
but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. - A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. - The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law.
- The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Next verse!With image
