Fruit of the spirit (4/4)

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees— all the fruit trees—have dried up. And the people’s joy has dried up with them. The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.
Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you.Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked. The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven.Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him. Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Then they will live forever!” So the Lord God banished them from the Garden of Eden, and he sent Adam out to cultivate the ground from which he had been made. And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
