- Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.
- And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
- Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.

- So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.
- For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
- May he grant your heart’s desires
and make all your plans succeed. - Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Return to the Lord your God,
for he is merciful and compassionate,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He is eager to relent and not punish. - Honesty guides good people;
dishonesty destroys treacherous people. - My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart;
he is mine forever. - Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you. - And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
- So go ahead. Eat your food with joy, and drink your wine with a happy heart, for God approves of this!
- So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.
- Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me.
