Him (2/4)

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. And now, dear children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be put to shame by him at his coming.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares about you.
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with a joy that is indescribable and glorious. For you are achieving the goal of your faith, that is, the salvation of your souls.
God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.May God continue to bless us and be revered to the ends of the earth.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart places its trust in him. He has helped me, and I exult; then with my song I praise him.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.”
The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.
The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.The Lord is my portion, I say to myself; therefore, I will place my hope in him.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. As Scripture asserts, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.Blessed are those who observe his statutes and seek him with their whole heart.
He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. He said to them in reply, “Anyone who has two coats must share with the person who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.”
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.Beloved, we are God’s children now. What we shall be has not yet been revealed. However, we do know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he really is. Everyone who has this hope in him keeps himself pure, just as he is pure.
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.Every word of God has proved to be true; he is a shield to those who trust in him.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. However, to those who did accept him and who believed in his name he granted the power to become children of God.
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.And when he had been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. While Peter was thus imprisoned, the Church prayed fervently to God for him.
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.”
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty. The water that I will give him will become a spring of water within him welling up to eternal life.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. This is how we can be certain that we abide in him and that he abides in us: he has given us a share in his Spirit.
Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. Therefore, observe the commandments of the Lord, your God. Walk in his ways and fear him.

He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.
