Chinese (traditional)- And thus we can have confidence in him
that if we ask anything
that is in accordance with his will,
he hears us. - Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul.
- The father of a good man will rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will delight in him. - Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with your whole heart, considering the great things he has done for you.
- For I resolved that, while I was with you, I would know nothing except Jesus Christ—and him crucified.
- Although it was our afflictions that he bore,
our sufferings that he endured,
we thought of him as stricken,
as struck down by God and afflicted. - For the Lord, your God, is gracious and compassionate, and he will not turn his face away from you if you return to him.
- Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.”
- He reveals deep and hidden mysteries
and knows what lies in the darkness,
for light dwells with him. - The misfortunes of the righteous man are many,
but the Lord delivers him, from all of them. - A man’s pride will bring him low,
but lowly souls will rise to honor. - To him who in all things is able
through the power
that is at work within us
to accomplish abundantly far more
than all we can ask or imagine,
to him be glory in the Church
and in Christ Jesus
through all generations,
forever and ever. Amen. - When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways.
- Then Jesus said to him,
“You have come to believe
because you have seen me.
Blessed are those who have not seen
and yet have come to believe.” - If someone among you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
- Rather, professing truth and love, we will in all things grow into him who is the head, Christ.
- And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- God’s love was revealed to us in this way:
God sent his only-begotten Son into the world
so that we might have life through him. - No one has ever seen God.
It is the only Son, God,
who is at the Father’s side,
who has made him known. - Rather, grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for all eternity. Amen. - This is the commandment
we have received from him:
whoever loves God
must also love his brother. - Anyone who has received my commandments
and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me
will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him
and reveal myself to him. - Behold, we are now going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised to life.
- If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Sing to God, sing praise to his name;
exalt him who rides upon the clouds.
Rejoice in the presence of this God
whose name is the Lord.
The Father of orphans and the defender of widows:
such is God in his holy dwelling place.
For who is God except the Lord?
Who is a rock aside from our God? Arise and shine forth, for your light has come
and the glory of the Lord has dawned upon you.Next verse! With image
