- So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
- Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
- We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
- Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
- Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord. - And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.
- Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
- The Lord sends poverty and wealth;
he humbles and he exalts. - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
- God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
- Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all. - And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
- So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
- Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. - And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
- Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity. - God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
