| A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. | In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. |
| There is no one as holy as Yahweh, for there is no one besides you, nor is there any rock like our God. | There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. |
| There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail. | Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. |
| For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. | For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. |

| Yahweh makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up. | The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts. |
| Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh. | Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. |
| For whoever finds me finds life, and will obtain favor from Yahweh. | For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord. |
| Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. | Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. |
| Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ | Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ |
| For Yahweh’s word is right. All his work is done in faithfulness. | For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. |
