- The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord cause His face to shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His face to you,
And give you peace. - But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
- It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And the light dwells with Him. - For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
- Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.
- But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom should I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom should I dread? - This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
- For by their own sword they did not possess the land,
And their own arm did not save them,
But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence,
For You favored them. - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
- But make sure your statement is, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil origin.
- Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
- He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who watches over you will not slumber. - For so the Lord has commanded us,
‘I have appointed You as a light to the Gentiles,
That You may bring salvation to the end of the earth.’ - You, Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me;
Your mercy and Your truth will continually watch over me. - For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.
- With all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me wander from Your commandments. - Now no one lights a lamp and covers it over with a container, or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see the light.
- Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness?
- But above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you do not fall under judgment.
- Establish my footsteps in Your word,
And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me. - In You, Lord, I have taken refuge;
Let me never be put to shame;
In Your righteousness rescue me. - Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful.
- Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
- But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
