| The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. | The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. |
| Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. | My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. | Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. | For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. |
