Love god (4/4)

  • Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.
  • Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord,
for our hope is in you alone.
  • For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.
  • Let your favor shine on your servant.
In your unfailing love, rescue me.
  • You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He protects the lives of his godly people
and rescues them from the power of the wicked.
  • I cried out, “I am slipping!”
but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.
  • Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm.
For love is as strong as death,
its jealousy as enduring as the grave.
    Love flashes like fire,
    the brightest kind of flame.
  • Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
  • But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
  • If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
  • Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.
  • Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
  • I love the Lord because he hears my voice
    and my prayer for mercy.
Because he bends down to listen,
I will pray as long as I have breath!
  • If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
  • And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.
  • Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
    His faithful love endures forever.
  • But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.
  • For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy.
  • For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
  • Have mercy on me, O God,
    because of your unfailing love.
    Because of your great compassion,
blot out the stain of my sins.
Wash me clean from my guilt.
    Purify me from my sin.
  • The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
  • He loves whatever is just and good;
the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
  • Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
  • Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
  • All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.

If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.Next verse! With image
