| And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. | And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people.” |

| Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. | And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood.” |
| And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. | And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died. |
| And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. | And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them. |
