Matthew 24:24 (3/5)

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’
Give us this day our daily bread.Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Judge not, that ye be not judged.Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
