He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him. | Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him. |

Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? | The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid? |
You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am Yahweh. | Observe my Sabbaths and stand in awe before my sanctuary. I am the Lord. |
When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. | As long as I remained silent, my body wasted away as the result of my groaning throughout the day. |
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. | If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. |
Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. | Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the one who sustains me. |
“Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul. “Therefore I will hope in him.” | The Lord is my portion, I say to myself; therefore, I will place my hope in him. |
But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. | But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me; you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. |
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. | For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. |
In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. | By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. |

In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul. | When my anxious thoughts multiplied, your comfort filled my soul with joy. |
I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. | I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. |
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God. | Why are you so disheartened, O my soul? Why do you sigh within me? Place your hope in God; for I will once again praise him, my Savior and my God. |
Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many. | Listen, my son, and take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied. |
