- Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.”
- Incline my heart to Your testimonies,
And not to dishonest gain. - Because Your favor is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
- You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- I will exalt You, my God, the King,
And I will bless Your name forever and ever. - I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.
- If I should say, “My foot has slipped,”
Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me. - I have made a covenant with my eyes;
How then could I look at a virgin? - My mouth is filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all day long. - And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.
- Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I get up;
You understand my thought from far away. - The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.
- Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, Lord, You know it all. - So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. - I have treasured Your word in my heart,
So that I may not sin against You. - So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
- Establish my footsteps in Your word,
And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me. - For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.
- By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another.
- Yet as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
And at the last, He will take His stand on the earth. - Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
- My son, comply with the commandment of your father,
And do not ignore the teaching of your mother. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth. - Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding!
Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
