- He will again have compassion on us.
He will tread our iniquities under foot.
You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. - Arise, shine; for your light has come,
and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you! - Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name!
Make his doings known among the peoples. - Let your eyes look straight ahead.
Fix your gaze directly before you. - I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
- If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.
- ‘Return, you backsliding Israel,’ says Yahweh; ‘I will not look in anger on you, for I am merciful,’ says Yahweh. ‘I will not keep anger forever.’
- But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which on better promises has been given as law.
- But let justice roll on like rivers,
and righteousness like a mighty stream. - Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts.
Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him,
to our God, for he will freely pardon. - If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
- Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
- Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- Why do you set your eyes on that which is not?
For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky. - “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
from doing your pleasure on my holy day,
and call the Sabbath a delight,
and the holy of Yahweh honorable,
and honor it,
not doing your own ways,
nor finding your own pleasure,
nor speaking your own words,
then you will delight yourself in Yahweh,
and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth,
and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;”
for Yahweh’s mouth has spoken it. - Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh,
since we have hoped in you. - I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice,
and my cries for mercy.
Because he has turned his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live. - You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
- My salvation and my honor is with God.
The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
- Turn at my reproof.
Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you.
I will make known my words to you. - Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness.
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity.
Cleanse me from my sin. - For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. - Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you.
Bind them around your neck.
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor,
and good understanding in the sight of God and man. - I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
