- If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless.
- But he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.
- Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.
- He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”
- He who turns away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer is an abomination. - Wicked people earn deceitful wages,
but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. - But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?
- If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
- If anyone sins, doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, though he didn’t know it, he is still guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
- A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
but the simple pass on, and suffer for it. - Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
- Yahweh said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only on himself don’t stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of Yahweh.
- If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.
- One who brings gossip betrays a confidence,
but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret. - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but Yahweh weighs the hearts. - Better is a little that the righteous has,
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but Yahweh upholds the righteous. - Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
- Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth,
and he adds no trouble to it. - Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
- The memory of the righteous is blessed,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.
- Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
- One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city. - By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit who doesn’t confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God; and this is the spirit of the Antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already.
- Therefore give everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
but the poor hear no threats. Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Next verse!With image
