The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.The vine has withered; the fig tree droops. The pomegranate, the palm, and the apple tree— all the trees of the field have dried up. And the joy of the people has also withered away.
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich, he humbles and he also exalts.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways.
Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke them and gave them to the disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Then they gathered up what was left over—twelve baskets of fragments.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where they will be destroyed by moth and rust and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up treasure for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves cannot break in and steal.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.He reserves his wisdom for the upright and is a shield to those who lead blameless lives.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me; you are my glory and the one who raises my head high.
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.While he was departing as they gazed upward toward the sky, suddenly two men dressed in white robes stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking up into the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.Rather, professing truth and love, we will in all things grow into him who is the head, Christ.
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.He then called the people and his disciples to him and said to them, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.Train a child in the way he should go, and he will not deviate from it, even in old age.
Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people.
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself; thus my lips will speak your praise. I will bless you all my life; with uplifted hands I will call on your name.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.The proud man’s heart is not upright, but the righteous man will live because of his faith.
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.A cheerful heart is excellent medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.At dawn let me experience your kindness, for in you I place my trust. Show me the path I must walk, for to you I lift up my soul.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.The Lord said to Moses, “Climb up to me on the mountain and remain there. I will give you stone tablets with the laws and commandments that I have written for their instruction.”
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the scrolls were opened. Then another scroll was opened, the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their deeds, as were recorded in the scrolls. The sea gave up all the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them. The dead were judged according to their deeds.
And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews.Above his head was inscribed the charge against him: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty. The water that I will give him will become a spring of water within him welling up to eternal life.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing.
