The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich, he humbles and he also exalts.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways.
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where they will be destroyed by moth and rust and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up treasure for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves cannot break in and steal.
Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me; you are my glory and the one who raises my head high.
And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”While he was departing as they gazed upward toward the sky, suddenly two men dressed in white robes stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking up into the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”
But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.Rather, professing truth and love, we will in all things grow into him who is the head, Christ.
When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”He then called the people and his disciples to him and said to them, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.Train a child in the way he should go, and he will not deviate from it, even in old age.
Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people.
Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.”
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself; thus my lips will speak your praise. I will bless you all my life; with uplifted hands I will call on your name.
A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.A cheerful heart is excellent medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.At dawn let me experience your kindness, for in you I place my trust. Show me the path I must walk, for to you I lift up my soul.
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the scrolls were opened. Then another scroll was opened, the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their deeds, as were recorded in the scrolls. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”The Lord said to Moses, “Climb up to me on the mountain and remain there. I will give you stone tablets with the laws and commandments that I have written for their instruction.”
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty. The water that I will give him will become a spring of water within him welling up to eternal life.
Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.And opens the eyes of those who cannot see. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.

And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.He is the head of the body, that is, the Church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in every way he should be supreme.
