  • And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.”
  • For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
  • The prudent sees danger and hides himself,
    but the simple go on and suffer for it.
  • No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.

  • When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes?
  • But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
  • Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land,
    who do his just commands;
    seek righteousness; seek humility;
    perhaps you may be hidden
    on the day of the anger of the Lord.
  • And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.
  • Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
  • For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
  • Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.
  • For “Whoever desires to love life
    and see good days,
    let him keep his tongue from evil
    and his lips from speaking deceit;
    let him turn away from evil and do good;
    let him seek peace and pursue it.”
  • Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.
  • Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord.
    Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.
  • No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.
  • But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
  • Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
  • What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
  • Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
