- “Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.” - Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls.
All your waves and your billows have swept over me. - He has shown you, O man, what is good.
What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly,
to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? - Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
- In you, Yahweh, I take refuge.
Let me never be disappointed.
Deliver me in your righteousness. - For you are my rock and my fortress,
therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters and to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting, not stealing, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.
- Guide me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation.
I wait for you all day long. - My times are in your hand.
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me. - Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.

Give me neither poverty nor riches.
Feed me with the food that is needful for me.
