Bible Verses about 'Stop'
- It is honorable for a man to stop striving,
Since any fool can start a quarrel. - Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
- Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil. - Do not overwork to be rich;
Because of your own understanding, cease! - But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
- Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.
- Let my mouth be filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all the day. - For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.
- Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! - And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
- Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
- Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

And ask for the old paths, where the good way is,
And walk in it;
Then you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” - “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord.
- Woe to him who strives with his Maker!
Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth!
Shall the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
Or shall your handiwork say, ‘He has no hands’? - Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
- Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit. - Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
