Test me (4/4)

  • I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
  • I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’
  • Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
  • And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
  • I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
    I set your rules before me.
  • I have set the Lord always before me;
    because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
  • Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
  • Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
  • To you, O God of my fathers,
    I give thanks and praise,
    for you have given me wisdom and might,
    and have now made known to me what we asked of you,
    for you have made known to us the king's matter.
  • But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
  • Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
    and let no iniquity get dominion over me.
  • In God, whose word I praise,
    in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
    What can flesh do to me?
  • What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
  • You make known to me the path of life;
    in your presence there is fullness of joy;
    at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
  • So we can confidently say,
    “The Lord is my helper;
    I will not fear;
    what can man do to me?”
  • Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
  • You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.
  • Deliver me, O Lord,
    from lying lips,
    from a deceitful tongue.
  • I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
  • “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
    “return to me with all your heart,
    with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
  • If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
  • If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.
  • But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
  • Deep calls to deep
    at the roar of your waterfalls;
    all your breakers and your waves
    have gone over me.
  • Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

Bible verse of the day

For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.Next verse!With image
