| If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. | If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. |
| Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. | He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. |
| By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life. | Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. |
| Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” | And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. |
| Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. | And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. |
| The Lord will vindicate me; your love, Lord, endures forever— do not abandon the works of your hands. | The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. |
