| I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” | O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee. |
| The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. | The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. |
| But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. | But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. |
| For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. | For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. |

Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” | But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. |
| These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. | But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. |

| He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. | He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. |
