Chinese (traditional)- If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
- Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. - And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
- Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
- This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
- Let all your things be done with charity.
- And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
- Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
- But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
- Great peace have they which love thy law:
and nothing shall offend them. - And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
- Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
- As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
- Thou art all fair, my love;
there is no spot in thee. - By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
- My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
- With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
- For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
- And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.
And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.Next verse! With image
