- “For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”
Says the Lord, who has mercy on you. - And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
- Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever. - Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses,
For they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;
According to Your mercy remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord. - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
- A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
- If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- Let all that you do be done with love.
- Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.
- And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
- If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - But I will sing of Your power;
Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning;
For You have been my defense
And refuge in the day of my trouble. - The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him. - Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
- This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.
- Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
- And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
- So rend your heart, and not your garments;
Return to the Lord your God,
For He is gracious and merciful,
Slow to anger, and of great kindness;
And He relents from doing harm. - Great peace have those who love Your law,
And nothing causes them to stumble.
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
