We full down (2/4)

  • I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
  • I had eaten no rich food, no meat or wine had entered my mouth, and I had not anointed myself at all, for the full three weeks.
  • I will make them and the region around my hill a blessing; and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing.
  • If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.
  • So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
  • O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
    You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away.
  • Like a city breached, without walls,
    is one who lacks self-control.
  • Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
    my help and my God.
  • I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself.
  • Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.
  • And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.
  • But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
  • He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

  • For we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.
  • Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.
  • The saying is sure:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him.
  • Indeed, we live as human beings, but we do not wage war according to human standards.
  • No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
  • What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?
  • We love because he first loved us.
  • Looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
