This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.This is the conclusion I have reached: it is fitting for a man to eat and drink and find satisfaction in the results of his labors under the sun during the brief span of life that God has allotted him.
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.So then, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.
When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.When God saw by their actions that they had turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not inflict upon them the punishment that he had threatened.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.I know how to live with little, and I know how to live with plenty. In any and all circumstances, I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.Therefore, do not allow anyone to pass judgment on you in regard to what you eat or drink, or about the observance of Festivals, New Moons, or Sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come. The reality is Christ.
Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.Listen, my son, and take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied.
