Bible Verses about 'Wicked'
- The wicked borrow and never repay,
but the godly are generous givers. - We have happy memories of the godly,
but the name of a wicked person rots away. - It is better to be godly and have little
than to be evil and rich.
For the strength of the wicked will be shattered,
but the Lord takes care of the godly. - Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. But the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise will know what it means.

the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions. - The hopes of the godly result in happiness,
but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing. - The lips of the godly speak helpful words,
but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words. - Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign Lord. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live.
- You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He protects the lives of his godly people
and rescues them from the power of the wicked. - The Lord protects the foreigners among us.
He cares for the orphans and widows,
but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. - The words of the godly are like sterling silver;
the heart of a fool is worthless. - Evil people get rich for the moment,
but the reward of the godly will last. - For the Lord loves justice,
and he will never abandon the godly.
He will keep them safe forever,
but the children of the wicked will die. - But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.
- Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers. - Let the wicked change their ways
and banish the very thought of doing wrong.
Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them.
Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. - Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
- Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes. - Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life. - Arise, O Lord!
Punish the wicked, O God!
Do not ignore the helpless! - The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity,
but it destroys the wicked. - When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.
- The human heart is the most deceitful of all things,
and desperately wicked.
Who really knows how bad it is?
But I, the Lord, search all hearts
and examine secret motives.
I give all people their due rewards,
according to what their actions deserve. - A single day in your courts
is better than a thousand anywhere else!
I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God
than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. - So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
